__________

Tagata was born in the South Pacific islands of Samoa (American), but raised in the San Francisco bay area. Tagata grew up singing in children's choirs and tinkered with the piano and other musical instruments. Over the years he became more serious about singing and playing music as he committed his life to Jesus. By the age of 18 and without any formal musical training, Tagata learned those same instruments along the way but his main instrument is his voice. Tagata has been a worship director for a few churches over the years and is currently directing part time for Spark Church, Abundant life Christian fellowship in Palo Alto and Mt View CA and one of the worship leaders & vocal director for his home church New North Church in San Francisco. Tagata and his family also attend and serve there. Tagata is also an outreach worker for SF Street Violence Intervention Program (SVIP) with an emphasis on stopping Asian hate crime.

Today Tagata continues to create, play and sing music where ever he's invited. He has recorded 3 CD projects over the years, No Ordinary Man (2001), Ia Vi'ia Oe in his native Samoan language (2007) and Tree Of Mercy (2016). In addition to leading worship, Tagata also produces, arranges, consults, voice coach, directs and writes music.

Tagata is married to his beautiful and lovely wife Sharon Ameperosa and together they have 3 boys Ishmael Meredith, Anthony Ameperosa & Tau Taufete'e. They reside in his beloved hometown of South San Francisco CA. His music inspirations are Walter Hawkins, Andre Crouch, Israel Houghton, Kirk Franklin, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower Of Power, P-Funk and many others. His favorite vocalist is Brian McKnight.
